Organic
Chemistry Lab
Germany
Lecture Room (4th Floor)
The new Organic
Chemistry Laboratory is a state-of-the-art student laboratory that has been
designed for maximum safety and efficiency. Each student can carry out all of
the experiments in individualized hoods that are equipped with down draft air
circulating systems. There are twenty such regular hoods and two hoods that
are designed for handicapped students. In addition to the smaller hoods, there
are two large hoods in the center of the laboratory that are used for chemical
dispensing areas. The
laboratory is also equipped with top-loading balances, electric heating units,
Mel-Temp melting point equipment, and all the necessary glassware. A safety
shower and eye wash are located in the laboratory.
The
Hannah Chemistry Computer Laboratory is equipped with eleven Pentium 4, 1.7
GHz computers with 19 inch monitors. These computers are all connected to a
printer in the room and are available to all students taking chemistry courses.
Computer Science Facilities:
Academic
Computing Lab
The
two Academic Computing Labs located in MCC are primarily used by the department
Computer Science for instruction purposes. They serve primarily
the computer science faculty for the purpose of instruction in computer science
courses and computer science labs. These labs also serve the MC campus as a
whole by providing access to various software and web browsing/internet capabilities.
The two labs MCC 204 and MCC 209 also support online testing and survey capabilities.
In addition MCC lab room 117 serves as a general purpose lab for student access
at all times during normal Academic Computing lab hours.
