Bomgar Corporation CEO Speaks at School of Business Lecture Series
September 15, 2011
Joel Bomgar, who worked his way through college as a systems engineer, quickly rose to the top as the leader of the innovative Bomgar Corporation.
During his seven years with the Mississippi Air National Guard, Bomgar enhanced his networking and computer skills, and that was good enough to earn him more than 16 network certifications.
In a world that sees technology evolving at a tremendous rate, Bomgar is in big demand in industry circles and with audiences around the nation as a founder and chief executive officer with the Bomgar Corporation.
Mississippi College’s School of Business leaders are delighted to welcome the Mississippian to the Clinton campus to speak to hundreds of students on September 22. Bomgar will deliver his address at 11 a.m. in the Ed Trehern Lecture Hall in Self Hall to kick off the school’s executive speaker series this fall.
As a leading industry expert in remote support technology, Bomgar has appeared on programs such as ABC News’ “Ahead of the Curve” and in publications including “The Wall Street Journal.”
Bomgar is a 2003 Belhaven University graduate with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. The Summa Cum Laude graduate received the Trustee’s Award for having the highest average in his class at the school in Jackson.
The company’s two other founders, Nathan McNeill and Patrick Norman, are also Belhaven alumni. The three men transformed the company from a dorm room project on the Jackson campus to a successful business. They credit their achievements in the business world to a discipline of focus and core values rooted in Biblical principles. Today, the Bomgar Corporation serves over 5,500 companies around the world.
The MC School of Business is teaming with M&F Bank to sponsor the event on the Clinton campus.
