Textbook: Statistics Explained, McKillup

We will discuss experimental design. This is not a math course. Calculations will be used to demonstrate particular models, but students will not be expected to perform calculations other than the use of Microsoft Excel as a tool for making calculations and display of data. Students will be expected to learn the nature data analyzed using statistical methods and the different statistical models used for the different types of data.

EVALUATION:

There will be a two midterm tests each worth 20% of the final grade.

Presentation of a statistical model will be worth 20% of the final grade.

A take home final exam will be worth 40% of the final grade.
