Applying for Admission to Mississippi College is easy with our online application. Make sure to apply at least two weeks prior to registration of each semester to give our office plenty of time to process your application.
1. Complete our application.
Our application can be found online at mc.edu/apply. The application fee is $25 and that can be paid at mc.edu/appfee. Make sure to indicate every school you’ve attended on your application, even if you only went for a semester.
2. Submit your transcripts.
You do not need to submit a high school transcript, but must submit transcripts from all previous colleges attended. Transcripts should be submitted either electronically via eScrip-Safe or Parchment Exchange, or mailed directly to The Office of Admissions (Box 4026, Clinton, MS 39058) from the institution.
NOTE: If you have no college credits and it has been 5 years or longer since you have graduated high school, all you need to submit is a High School transcript or GED.
3. Submit your immunization record.
Submit your Mumps, Measles, and Rubella (MMR) Immunization Certificate, a.k.a Immunization Record. One MMR in the past ten years or two in a lifetime are required. You can email, fax or mail in your MMR.
Note: If your degree is 100% online, you do not need to submit an immunization record.
4. Determine how many credit hours will transfer.
If you have less than 12 transferrable hours from an accredited institution, then you will need to submit your official high school transcript and official ACT/SAT test scores. Keep in mind, if you graduated high school over 5 years ago, you will not need to submit an ACT/SAT score.
If you have less than 12 hours, your classes will still transfer in, but you will be scholarshipped as a Freshman. You can find out which of your courses will transfer by visiting our Transfer Course Equivalency site.
5. Pay your housing fee.
If you are planning to live on campus, pay your housing fee. Students seeking campus housing are required to submit a $100 fee to reserve a spot in the residence halls for their entry term.
6. Schedule a visit.
If you haven’t visited our campus yet, we encourage you to schedule a campus visit and experience Mississippi College first-hand. Meet your admissions counselor, sit in on a class, tour campus – we’ll create a personalized visit just for you. Fill out our online campus visit request form right now! Remember the app fee? If you come on a campus visit and apply in our office, then we waive the app fee.
7. Register for Orientation.
Register for one of our Transfer Orientations. For on-campus traditional students attending MC for the first time, you will need to attend one of our Orientation sessions. Orientation dates will be published and registration forms will be online once the dates have been finalized. Make sure to visit the events page to know the options you have for Orientation!
