Pittman Shakespeare Festival

Aven Fine Arts, Clinton, MS 39056, USA
Come celebrate 40 years of Shakespeare at Mississippi College as we honor the legacy of Dr. George & Mrs. Alicia Pittman with our favorite sonnets, monologues, scenes, and music.  Our cast will showcase current students and alumni.  The Choctaw Chorus, under the direction of Dr. Mark Nabholz, will perform several madrigals set to Shakespeare’s lyrics from the plays.  Our guest artist for this joint production with the Sue Price Lipsey Lecture Series is a national recording artist, singer/songwriter Claire Holley, a Jackson native and current resident of Los Angeles, CA.  Reception will follow in Aven Lobby. For more information, contact Phyllis W. Seawright at seawrigh@mc.edu or 601.925.3453.
