Terry Riley's "In C"

Aven Fine Arts
MC students and faculty celebrate the 55th anniversary of the premiere of Terry Riley's landmark composition "In C" with a performance in the Williams Recital Hall in the Aven Fine Arts Building at 7:30 pm on November 4, 2019. Often cited as the first minimalist piece, "In C" is a mesmerizing performance (lasting about 45 minutes) combining short rhythmic motives centered around the pitch C played on a piano. Free event and open to the public.
