Civil War Historian Larry Logue Visits Syracuse University


Larry M. Logue, a Mississippi College history and political science professor who's a noted Civil War specialist, will join the Syracuse University faculty as a senior fellow this summer.

The Clinton resident received a doctorate in American civilization from the University of Pennsylvania. He will be a visiting senior fellow at the Burton Blatt Institute at Syracuse in New York in July and August.

Logue is the author of "To Appomatottox and Beyond: The Civil War Soldier in War and Peace'' published by Ivan R. Dee.

The institute at Syracuse works nationally and internationally to advance the civic, economic and social participation of persons with disabilities. At Syracuse, he will collaborate with other institute team members. For more information, visit the web site http://bbi.syr.edu
