Key Dates Approaching as Mississippi College Opens 188th Academic Year
July 23, 2013
Mississippi College begins its 188th academic year with day classes to start Wednesday August 28th.
But there are several other key dates to put on the calendar before the fall semester kicks off for more than 5,000 MC students.
Evening classes, Accelerated Degree Program courses and on-line eight-week programs at Mississippi College begin Monday August 26.
Current students who have met with their advisers can register online by logging into the My.MC portal. Students may register via the web during holiday closures. Information including academic schedules can be found at mc.edu/offices/register.
Still haven’t registered? No worries. Registration remains open for all current students at Mississippi College for the fall semester. Students interested in attending the Christian university at the main Clinton campus or at the Flowood Center in Rankin County should also contact the Office of Enrollment Services at 601.925.3800.
The university’s final orientation is Monday August 26. Students who haven’t attended earlier sessions this summer are encouraged to stop by and receive handy information on academic programs, registration, financial aid, and campus organizations.
There is also a mini orientation booked for freshmen and transfer students from 1 p.m.-4:30 p.m. on July 29 beginning at Nelson Hall. The contact for the event is Brandi Chancellor at 601.925.3839 or email@example.com.
Mississippi College leaders are also inviting students to attend an Accelerated Degree Program orientation at 5:30 p.m. on August 6.
With fall classes just around the corner, so are parents and students with hundreds of fully loaded cars, trucks and vans expected to pour into the Clinton campus for two move-in days in late August.
Freshmen and transfer students will settle into residence halls on Saturday morning August 24. MC staffers will be on hand to do much of the heavy lifting. Returning students will tote their boxes, suitcases, computers and other belongings to MC dormitories on Sunday August 25.
Any questions? MC admissions people will be happy to supply answers at 601.925.3800.
