MC Alumni Gather in Atlanta


Mississippi College alumni in the greater Atlanta area will gather Saturday, May 3, to hear from MC President Lee Royce and other school leaders.

The event is scheduled for Briarlake Church at 3715 Lavista Road near Northlake Mall. The two-hour program begins at 11:30 a.m.

Royce will bring alumni the latest news from Baptist-affiliated Mississippi College, including the school's $65 million "Growing the Vision" campaign, discuss the institution's record enrollment and the school's new academic programs. Based in Clinton, 4,600-student MC is Mississippi's largest private university. Founded in 1826, MC is the nation's second oldest Baptist college.

Other speakers at the event include Ross Aven, director of MC's alumni affairs office, and retired MC administrator Doc Quick. Lunch will be catered by Briarlake Church. Cost is $10. Mississippi College has about 30,000 alumni nationwide.
