Mississippi Banker Encourages Mississippi College "Who's Who" Students
December 5, 2008
America is stung by a recession with a barrage of layoffs and many workers fearing they could be next on the jobless list.
"It is pretty much a tough job market," Trustmark Bank executive Wayne "Art" Stevens Jr. told a luncheon honoring dozens of Mississippi College students. He served as guest speaker at the event Thursday honoring 70 MC students inducted into the "Who's Who Among Students In American Universities and Colleges."
While the U.S lost 1.2 million jobs this year through November, and the jobless rate stands at a 14-year high, Stevens gave MC student leaders some signs of hope.
The MC alumnus believes employers will be looking for people of good character?
