For more information on the September Preview Day, visit www.mc.edu/previewday

A Mississippi College football game, tailgating on the Quad, and the chance to attend classes are all part of the lineup for the university’s Fall Preview Day on September 24.

Hundreds of prospective MC students and parents are invited to learn about scholarships, tour the Cadaver Lab, meet professors and do much more during their visit that Saturday.

Check-in begins at 1 p.m. at Anderson Hall in the B.C. Rogers Student Center. Next, visitors will hear from speakers including President Lee Royce, Jim Turcotte, vice president for enrollment services and dean of students, and Terry Dent, director of student success. Admissions director Kyle Brantley will give an overview on enrollment services.

At 3 p.m., students will get the opportunity to sample more than a dozen classes on the Clinton campus. Parents won’t be ignored. They’re encouraged to attend sessions on financial aid and scholarships. Parents can also quiz school administrators joining a panel discussion on life at the 5,133-student Christian university.

High school students traveling from across the South and other parts of the country are also invited to find out about dozens of campus organizations at 4 p.m. Student Government Association leaders, members of social tribes and clubs, and staffers with Christian ministries will field questions.

The 190-year-old institution continues to offer attractive and innovative academic programs. Starting its second year, MC’s bachelor’s degree program in electrical engineering enrolls 31 students this fall. Other relatively new programs at the undergraduate level include worship leadership.

Student-athletes interested in joining Mississippi College’s archery, bass fishing, clay shooting or equestrian teams are invited to a 90-minute open house at Providence Hill Farm. The event begins at 11 a.m.

Preview Day concludes with the MC Choctaws football game at Robinson-Hale Stadium against Cumberland University of Lebanon, Tennessee. Kickoff is at 7 p.m.

Opening the 2016 season, the Choctaws defeated Point University of West Point, Georgia on September 3. The Cumberland Phoenix dropped its season opener September 1 to Georgetown College of Kentucky 28-7.

Students who miss MC’s first Preview Day this fall will get another opportunity on November 12. Last fall, a total of 727 students attended the two Preview Day activities at Mississippi College.
