Mississippi College Searches for New Football Coach to Succeed Norman Joseph

Mississippi College Athletic Director Mike Jones announced Tuesday (Nov. 19) that Norman Joseph is stepping down as the head football coach.

"I sincerely want to thank coach Joseph for his hard work over the past nine seasons," Jones said.  "He has had and will have a lasting impact on the lives of the young men he has coached and mentored throughout the years, and we wish him the best as he moves forward.  Our next move is to find the right person to step in and take the Mississippi College football program to the next level as we progress to Division II and the Gulf South Conference.  As always, our focus is to ensure that our student-athletes reach their full potential on and off the field."

Jones said the process to find a replacement will begin immediately with the appointment of a search committee.

"Our plan is to conduct a thorough but timely search for the next head football coach at MC," he said.  "We understand the importance of making a swift decision so that the recruiting process will not be hindered.  We want to go into the Gulf South Conference next season and be able to compete as quickly as possible, and we know how important football is to that process."
