Two Medical Training Programs Offered by Continuing Education

The Jackson Metro area will be offered two medical training programs currently in high demand. Classes for the Pharmacy Technician and Clinical Medical Assistant programs will begin April 10th at the Mississippi College Flowood Center.

MC’s Office of Continuing Education has partnered with Consolidated Curriculum to sponsor these greatly sought after programs that include both lecture and hands-on labs to simulate “real world” professional experience. Students who complete these courses could be qualified to sit for National Certification Exams.

“We hope to help create entry-level job opportunities for individuals by providing low cost, short-term training programs in healthcare related fields. Our goal is to service the growing allied health education and training needs of healthcare organizations, hospitals, long term care facilities, and other corporations and organizations,” says Ken L. Gilliam, Director of Continuing Education at Mississippi College. “We also hope to roll out other future programs to meet the growing national need for certified health care professionals.”
