Assistant Professor - Department of Mathematics

Mississippi College is seeking an individual with demonstrated instructional skills to join an outstanding department to provide high quality service to students at Mississippi College. This is a full-time, regular contract faculty position in the Mathematics Department beginning Fall Semester, August 2021. The emphasis of this position is the teaching of mathematics and mathematics education courses to a diverse student population. The applicant will be expected to recruit and oversee student matriculation in our Mathematics teacher education program and serve as an education liaison on and off campus. Applicants will also be expected to develop content and teach in the university’s online program. Experience in using technology including online homework is expected. Teaching responsibilities include approximately 12 hours per week of instruction, plus office hours for student counseling and contact. In addition to teaching responsibilities, this position requires involvement in departmental and campus-wide committees.

Applicants with a doctorate or willing to pursue a doctorate in Mathematics will be considered. For applicants with the doctorate, this position is tenure-track.
