Campus Activities Board (CAB) seeks to engage students, provide unique and diverse entertainment for the student body, and to promote campus involvement in many different areas. MC is an amazing place with a diverse population, therefore, one of CAB's goals is to highlight different areas of campus, while also creating events that reach all students.

APPLICATION DATES 

Spring applications will open March 25, 2019. 

STRUCTURE

CAB is a branch of the Student Government Association. According to the bylaws of the SGA, CAB is comprised of no more than 30 students and one CAB Chairperson. The Chairperson is elected by the student body and serves on the Executive Council of SGA. The members of CAB go through an application and interview process led by the Director of Student Engagement, CAB Chairperson, and current members of CAB. Each member of CAB is assigned at least one event each semester to design, plan, and execute alongside one designated event partner. Event assignments and partners are chosen by the CAB Chairperson and Director of Student Engagement. 

APPLICATION PROCESS

Applicants should complete and sign the attached application and checklist. All application materials should be submitted to the Office of Student Engagement located in the Student Life Offices on the back patio of BC Rogers. Applicants are required to sign up for an interview time when turning in the application. All applications are due October 4, 2018, at 4:30pm. Interviews will take place October 10-12, 2018 and October 15-19, 2018.  The CAB Chairperson and the Director of Student Engagement are not required to consider incomplete applications. 

ELIGIBILITY 

Members of the Campus Activities Board are required to keep a 2.5 minimum cumulative GPA and enrolled full-time as an undergraduate student at Mississippi College. During the Fall Semester, only incoming students (including freshmen and fall semester transfer students) are eligible to apply. During the Spring Semester, all full-time undergraduate Mississippi College students with a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA are eligible to apply. It is the responsibility of the applicant to submit all application materials by the deadline and make him/herself available for an interview. 

EXPECTATIONS

Membership in the Campus Activities Board is a lot of fun as well as a great learning experience. It is your responsibility as a student leader to set an example for fellow students. It is imperative for the success of CAB for all members to uphold the expectations set for members. Membership in CAB is a position of responsibility. You are working for the entire student body. We understand that you have other commitments, but prioritization of your commitment as a member of CAB is an absolute. Members of CAB are required to attend weekly meetings and all CAB events (unless it conflicts with a class). In order to plan the best events possible, time is required to brainstorm, plan details, and execute activities. Members of CAB are required to assist with set up, hosting, and clean up after events.
