The Associate of Student Leaders (ASL) is comprised of three groups:
- Blue & Gold 101 Mentors
- Orientation Leader
- The CREW
Each group will play a special role in welcoming new students to Mississippi College. Currently enrolled students will be interviewed for each group and chosen based on their experience, leadership skills, and commitment to the cause of Christ.
The Orientation Leader (OL) is an integral part of the onboarding process at Mississippi College. The OL works all freshman and transfer orientations hosted by the Office of Student Life. The OL will lead orientation small groups, provide guidance to incoming students from a current student’s prospective, administer campus tours, and stay overnight in the residence halls throughout all orientations. Preferred GPA of 2.5.
The CREW is a group of students who will commit their time and energy into planning events and activities during Mississippi College’s Welcome Week. This position will assist incoming freshman and transfer students in the transition to Mississippi College with group activities to promote positive interaction among new students. Preferred GPA of 2.5.
Blue & Gold 101 Mentors
Blue & Gold 101 Mentors hold a vital position in the lives of Freshmen at MC. A Mentor serves as a source of information and direction for new students to help them successfully find their social and academic place at MC. Mentors are chosen to represent a commitment to the cause of Christ and provide a meaningful, fun experience for incoming freshman. (Applications for B&G 101 will be accepted in the Spring Semester. Join the team
Students interested in applying for OL and/or CREW will need to apply in the Fall semester. Application for OL and/or CREW are due on October 28, 2016, to the Student Life Offices, back Patio of BCR by 4:30pm.

OL and Crew Members will have training throughout the Spring Semester.
In addition to training OLs will be required to be at all three Orientations during the Summer. The dates of Orientation this year are June 2-3, June 7-8 and July 28-29.
In addition to training, CREW members will be require to move in one week early on August 12, 2016 in the Fall in order to prepare for Welcome Week which kicks off on August 19, 2016.
All interviews will take place on Sunday, October 30, 2016, from 2:00pm-5:30pm in the Student Life Offices behind B.C. Rogers in the back patio.
