As an accounting major, you’ll take courses in topics such as:

• Financial accounting
• Management accounting

While you’re mastering the details of accounting practice, you’ll also explore a comprehensive business curriculum that nurtures critical thinking skills, encourages teamwork and builds your writing abilities. You’ll discuss ethical and moral issues, while acquiring management skills in a Christian context. And you’ll gain understanding of business challenges from a global perspective, integrating awareness of current events and financial trends.

Facilities

Mississippi College’s School of Business is located in Self Hall, a state-of-the-art learning facility. Recently updated with a multi-million dollar renovation, Self Hall features building-wide wireless internet and up-to-the-minute stock tickers displayed throughout the building. Labs are equipped with up-to-date computer technology and specialized software for business applications.

Jamie Jones

Serves as Independent Director of Cumberland Pharmaceuticals, but most of his 35-year career in accounting has been spent at KPMG LLP, where he served as a Managing Partner at the Nashville office from 1999 to 2006, leading a team of more than 100 members.
