Dr. VanHorn will be leading a group of students, church members, and community folks to Israel during Spring Break 2016, Thursday, March 3, 2016 through Saturday, March 4, 2016. We will visit all major sites related to the life and ministry of Jesus plus many more including; Bethlehem, Nazareth, Jerusalem, Capernaum, the Galilee, Judea, Jordan River, Dead Sea, Caesarea Philippi, Caesarea Maritima, Mt. About Me

Dr. Wayne VanHorn is married (wife Terri), has three children (Erin, Nathan, and Benjamin) and five grandchildren (Mike, Dane, Leigh, Judah & Jayce). He taught at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary for nine years in the Masters and Ph.D. programs (1985-1993) then served as pastor of the First Baptist Church of Columbia, MS for 12.5 years (1993-2005) before coming to teach at MC in June 2005. He served as chair of the Department of Christian Studies and Philosophy for five years (2005-2010). Since 2006, Dr. VanHorn has been serving as Dean of the School of Christian Studies and the Arts. Dr. VanHorn maintains an active speaking, conference and writing schedule.
