As stated in the Mississippi College Undergraduate Catalog, “A student will not receive credit for Chapel attendance in any semester in which he or she accumulates more than the allowed absences. There are no excused absences from Chapel.”
Chapel - Credit/No-Credit
Chapel is a Credit/No-Credit course. Credit for a given semester is received by completing attendance requirements.
Attendance Requirements
All students enrolled in Chapel are required to attend 10 Chapel experiences to meet attendance requirements in order to receive credit through attending large group Chapel experiences and/or Chapel+ opportunities.
Large group Chapel
Large group Chapel experiences take place on Thursday's from 11:00am-12:15pm and 12:30pm-1:45pm in Swor Auditorium in Fall and Spring semesters. Students may enroll in either section of Large Group Chapel based upon seating availability. Students can view the weekly schedule in Canvas.
Chapel+
Chapel+ opportunities allow students to meet attendance requirements outside of the weekly large group Chapel experiences. Each Chapel+ opportunity is designed to allow students a variety of avenues to discover and grow in Christian faith. Students can view the Chapel+ schedule in Canvas.
