Dr. Juliana Cran Henderson, a Hattiesburg dentist and Mississippi College graduate, who speaks on the Clinton campus November 13.

Hattiesburg area dentists Dr. Charles Belknap and Dr. Julianna Cran Henderson will speak at a Mississippi College lecture series on the Clinton campus.

Both south Mississippi dentists are Mississippi College graduates. The Mississippians will speak at a November 13 lecture sponsored by the Mississippi College Medical and Dental Alumni Association.

The program is scheduled at the Jean Pittman Williams Recital Hall at Aven Hall beginning at 6:30 p.m. MC faculty, staff, students, alumni, MDAA members and the public are invited.

Mississippi College leaders created the Medical and Dental Alumni Association in 2008. The group is designed to give students interested in health professions an opportunity to shadow physicians and dentists to learn more about their professions, said MC biology professor Elizabeth Brandon.

Dr. Harry Phillips, a pediatrician from Memphis, serves as the organization’s current president.

A 2001 Mississippi College alumnus, Dr. Belknap was a biology/pre-med major on the Clinton campus who graduated at the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry in Jackson.

A biology major, Dr. Henderson received her Mississippi College diploma in 1986. She’s also a graduate of the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry.
