Mississippi College employees belted out rock 'n roll oldies and feasted from a menu of burgers, beans and brownies. In-between bites, they got a short course on MC history.
Drawing more than 100 employees, the picnic outside the Jazzman's coffee house Wednesday afternoon marked the first meeting of the MC Staff Club for the new academic year.
With continuing education director Ken Gilliam cranking up the karaoke machine on the Clinton campus, MC staffers livened up the crowds as they made rock classics like "Wild Thing," and "Sitting on the Dock of the Bay" come alive again in the iPod era.
