Elise Payne is the Department Chair, Art Education Coordinator, and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Art. Ms. Payne joined MC's faculty in 2018 as an adjunct then became a full-time faculty member in 2024. She currently teaches courses in art education and graduate research, and her studio emphasis is printmaking. Ms. Payne is also an active member of the Mississippi Art Education Association(MAEA), and she has served in many MAEA board positions including President-Elect, President, Past-President & Conference Coordinator, and Treasurer.
