Dr. Teresa Duke has served as an Assistant Professor in the Teacher Education and Leadership Department at Mississippi College since August 2024. Prior to joining the faculty, she worked as a district-level administrator for the Clinton Public School District.

Dr. Duke brings 32 years of experience in public education in the state of Mississippi, having served in the Gulfport, Columbus, and Clinton school districts. Her professional background includes ten years as a classroom teacher, thirteen years as a building-level administrator, and nine years as a district administrator, providing her with extensive leadership experience across multiple levels of K–12 education.

At Mississippi College, Dr. Duke serves on various departmental and university committees and works closely with students pursuing graduate programs in education. She also serves as the advisor for doctoral candidates in Educational Leadership, supporting candidates through coursework, research, and professional preparation.

Dr. Duke is the coordinator of the "Principals’ Summer Institute", a professional learning initiative that provides school administrators with opportunities to collaborate with colleagues each summer through team-building activities and culture-focused leadership strategies designed to strengthen school culture and improve practice.

Dr. Duke has been recognized for her contributions to education, receiving both Teacher of the Year and Administrator of the Year honors from the Clinton Public School District.
