Bretton Crosby
Instructor and Campus Production Director - Communication

The newest Instructor of Communication at MC is a familiar face to members of the Choctaws family.
Bretton Crosby has worked as the university’s Audio-Visual Director after many years of service to local churches in media ministry, including Dawson Memorial Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama and Broadmoor Baptist Church in Madison, Mississippi.
Crosby is a two-time graduate of MC, earning both the bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Communication. He was the recipient of the department’s Graduate Research Award for work on his thesis titled “Streaming Preachers: Parasocial Relationships and Live Streamed Sermons”.
The Brookhaven, Mississippi native will lead the department’s increasingly popular Ministry Communication program which prepares students for careers of service in local church, denominational, and parachurch media-related ministry roles. He’ll also continue to work with students in campus media productions including Choctaws athletics.
