President Blake Thompson serves as the guest speaker, prospective Mississippi College students are invited to attend classes, and cheer the MC Choctaws during a football game with West Florida.

Those are just a few of the activities set for MC’s Fall 2018 Preview Day on the Clinton campus on September 22.

An open house at Providence Hill Farm for students interested in the equestrian, bass fishing, clay shooting or archery teams are also booked that Saturday. That activity begins at 11:30 a.m.

Check-in is set for 1 p.m. for hundreds of prospective students and parents at the B.C. Rogers Student Center.

Visitors will hear from admissions counselors Kaitlin McCarty and Cameron Treadwell, both MC graduates. Dr. Thompson, Jim Turcotte, vice president for enrollment services and dean of students, will welcome the crowd to the Clinton campus. Assistant admissions director Michael Wright will join current students to field questions.

There are sessions for parents to learn more about financial aid and scholarships at the Baptist-affiliated university. Later that afternoon, there are informative meetings focusing on student organizations as well as tours of the Cadaver Lab. There will be tours of residence halls and other campus destinations points every 15 minutes.

Just steps from Clinton’s Brick Streets, the MC bookstore will be open to serve shoppers a little over two hours that Saturday starting at 4:45 p.m.

Activities move to Robinson-Hale Stadium, with Mississippi College to kick off against Gulf South Conference rival West Florida at 7 p.m.

Prospective students have another Fall 2018 Preview Day on the calendar on November 3. Events at Mississippi College begin that Saturday with an 8:30 a.m. check-in at the B.C. Rogers Student Center. Events wrap up with MC to battle GSC rival West Alabama in a 2 p.m. home football game.
