Einstein Bros. Bagels Coming to Mississippi College

Einstein Bros. Bagels Coming to Mississippi College

Food lovers are in for another big treat at Mississippi College in 2020. President Blake Thompson delivered the breaking news with his new video post to the MC family.

Students, faculty and staff welcomed Dr. Thompson’s video announcement in February. His message this winter will become a reality by this summer.

Colorado-based Einstein Bros. Bagels is going to provide an awesome 1-2 punch teamed with a Chick-fil-A restaurant coming in the new year to Alumni Hall on the Clinton campus.

The first floor of Alumni Hall is undergoing extensive renovations to make way for the food industry giants. The facility will offer comfortable spaces for the MC family to enjoy fellowship time.

Einstein Bros. Bagel includes locations at the University of Louisiana-Monroe, Hattiesburg, Starkville and Oxford, plus 82 stores each in Texas & Florida, to name a few. Fresh bagels, signature breakfast and lunch sandwiches and delicious drinks are all crowd pleasers on the menu.

There’s buzz on the Clinton campus.

“I do like bagels,” says MC sophomore Kendra Santos of Collierville, Tennessee. “This will be a good change.”

She’s familiar with the one in Memphis, and this new one coming will be even closer for the MC Choctaw.

“I like cream cheese on my bagels,” says sophomore Valerie Givens of Chatom, Alabama. “I’m really excited about it.”

So are the good folks at Einstein Bros. Bagels.

“Einstein Bros. Bagels are thrilled to be bringing our operation to the Alumni Hall at Mississippi College,” says Nicholas Schafer, the company’s senior vice president of development.

“We pride ourselves on fresh made bagels, a full expresso beverage menu featuring Caribou Coffee and our craveable all-day sandwiches,” Schafer said. “We look forward to serving the campus community for many years to come.’’

The company is based in Lakewood, Colorado, a state with 56 stores. Einstein Bros. Bagels are located in 43 states as well as Washington, D.C.

The neighborhood bagel shop is off to a delicious start on the Clinton campus, and its grand opening is still several months away.
