Prospective college students can gain insight into what campus life at Mississippi College is all about during MC’s Preview Days, scheduled for Saturday, March 28, and Friday, April 17, on the MC campus in Clinton.

Angie Hardin, MC director of admissions and enrollment operations, said prospective students can immerse themselves in MC’s culture on their visit to the Clinton campus.

“Our goal is for students and their families to experience an incredible atmosphere while they are here,” Hardin said. “Since our vision at MC is academic excellence and commitment to the cause of Christ, we try to incorporate some touches of both throughout the day so guests can leave knowing this is our purpose.”

Haleigh Roberts, guest experience coordinator in MC’s Admissions Office, said Preview Day features a full slate of informative activities designed to engage prospective students in all things MC.

“Guests get to meet current MC students who, as recruiters called ‘Scouts,’ give campus tours and show off residence halls,” Roberts said. “They’ll hear a student panel discuss student-related activities and discover how they can become involved on campus.

“Parents can hear from University and Student Life directors while their students sit in on mock classes. As new students prepare for the next chapter in their lives, Preview Day helps calm their nerves and get them excited to be part of the Choctaw Family.”

Activities planned for Spring Preview Day include:

* Welcome Session: meet the admissions team that guides prospective students through the MC application process.

* Academic Marketplace: mingle with professors and learn about majors offered at MC.

* Student Panel: hear from current students about their MC experiences.

* Dean and Student Experience Panel: learn about academic opportunities and how prospective students can become involved in campus organizations.

* Mock Classes: meet MC professors and see what a college class is like.

* Campus Tour: check out the facilities and see why MC’s campus is considered one of the most beautiful in the state.

* Financial Aid Session: learn about all things financial aid.

* Choose Your Own Adventure: tour the cadaver lab in the Hederman Science Building, visit the Gore Arts Complex Open House to learn more about the Department of Art, tour the residence halls or attend an athletic event.
