Chair and Assistant Professor - Department of Psychology and Counseling

Mississippi College invites applications for the position of Chair and Assistant Professor, Department of Psychology and Counseling. This is a full-time, tenure-track faculty position. The successful candidate must possess a terminal degree in Psychology or other relevant area of study. The Chair position is responsible for leading the faculty, managing the budgetary needs of the department, preparing departmental reports, assigning workloads and schedules and handling daily operations of the department. The Department of Psychology and Counseling is accredited by CACREP and the Chair is responsible for meeting departmental requirements for this accreditation.

Founded in 1826, Mississippi College is a private, comprehensive, Christian university affiliated with the Mississippi Baptist Convention. Mississippi College seeks faculty and staff who are committed Christians and whose Christian principles are exemplified in daily are living. MC offers over 80 undergraduate majors, over 50 graduate programs, and has an enrollment of approximately 5,000 students. The campus is located in Clinton, MS which is about 10 miles west of the capital city of Jackson.
