Assistant Professor and Director of Bands - Department of Music
Mississippi College invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Music and Director of Bands, Department of Music. The position has a starting date of August 2023 and applications will be accepted through November 28, 2022.
The successful candidate will direct the marching band and wind ensemble, recruit students, teach graduate and undergraduate instrumental music education coursework, and advise undergraduate instrumental music education majors. Other duties may be assigned based on the needs of the Department of Music and the successful candidate’s qualifications.
Qualifications:
- DMA or Ph.D. required; ABD will be considered
- At least three years of effective teaching service required
- Teacher licensure is preferred.
