Assistant Professor of Graphic Design - Department of Art
Mississippi College invites applicants for the full-time, non-tenure track position of Assistant Professor, Department of Art. The applicant must have an MFA in graphic design or an MFA Studio Art degree with a concentration in graphic design. Applicants should demonstrate fluency and versatility with current industry standard software and technology and competence in using Adobe Creative Cloud Software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, XD etc). Assigned duties will include teaching, planning, and curriculum development in the graphic design program. Further duties may include developing graduate-level courses in graphic design. additional responsibilities will include academic advising, sponsoring a club, and/or other student-oriented activities. Previous experience with an online course management system (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard, Sakai, Moodle) preferred. The new faculty member will also serve on department and University committees.
