I.T. Support Analyst I - Office of Information Technology
Mississippi College is seeking qualified applicants for the full-time position I.T. Support Analyst I, Office of Information Technology. The primary responsibilities of the IT Support Analyst I position are to oversee the daily operations of the Help Desk, provide technical guidance to co-workers and student workers, and to respond with excellent customer service to all Information Technology customers. This position directly interfaces with Mississippi College faculty, staff, students, and others on a daily basis regarding a variety of topics. As a result, the successful candidate must maintain a positive attitude while helping people, prioritizing support requests, troubleshooting issues, researching solutions, and managing and securing endpoints.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other closely related field or significant hands-on experience in the field of network computing and security
- Knowledge/experience with:
- TCP/IP networking
- Managing network equipment such as wireless access points, switches, and routers
- Managing network applications such as Print Management and Endpoint Security
- Setup, maintenance and troubleshooting of Windows operating systems
- Knowledge of Active Directory and Linux operating systems is preferred
- Excellent technical, administrative, interpersonal, written and verbal skills
- Commitment to the vision of Mississippi College
