Full-Time Faculty - Department of English and World Languages
The Department of English and World Languages at Mississippi Christian University invites applications for a tenure-track, open-rank English faculty position beginning Fall 2027. We welcome applications with the ability to teach a variety of generalist literature and writing courses. We also encourage applications from candidates whose areas of specialization will expand the breadth and variety of courses offered. Candidates should demonstrate enthusiasm for teaching undergraduate and graduate English courses as well as willingness to support the department's emphasis on a systematic, methods-driven approach to textual analysis. The ideal candidate will join a supportive and collaborative department dedicated to the needs of students, the mission of the department, and the mission of the university.
Individuals should have a Ph.D. or MFA in English with 3 years of teaching in secondary English preferred.
