Assistant Professor of Counseling and School Counseling Program Coordinator
Mississippi College is seeking qualified applicants for the position Assistant Professor of Counseling and Program Coordinator of M.Ed in School Counseling. This position serves a dual role; serving as a faculty member responsible for teaching, research, and mentorship, and as a program administrator overseeing the daily operations, compliance, and strategic direction of the School Counseling program. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic educator and licensed professional with a deep understanding of school counseling practices, licensing procedures, and the ability to inspire future counselor to meet the diverse need of children and adolescents in school settings.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ph.D in Counselor Education
- Professional experience as a school counselor in PK-12 education setting
- Licensed or license-eligible as a school counselor
- Demonstrated graduate teaching experience in counseling or closely related fields
- Knowledge of CACREP standards, CPCE content, and state licensure requirements
- Evidence of strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Commitment to the mission and vision of Mississippi College
