Assistant/Associate Professor (with an Exercise Science emphasis) - Department of Kinesiology

Mississippi College invites applications for a faculty position in Exercise Science to serve in the Department of Kinesiology beginning August, 2026. 

Minimum requirements to apply for the position are an earned doctorate in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Human Performance or related field.  ABD will be considered if completion is anticipated by June, 2027.     

Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in such subject areas as Exercise Physiology, Anatomical Kinesiology, Biomechanics, Fitness and Wellness, Exercise Testing and Prescription, and Nutrition/ Sports Nutrition, as well as other courses within the Kinesiology disciplinary umbrella. 

Additional responsibilities include scholarly activity, academic advising of both undergraduate and graduate students, and service on departmental, school, and university committees.  There is also an expectation of community and church service.
