Director of Pre-Law and Paralegal Studies

The Department of History and Political Science at Mississippi College invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor position to direct the Pre-Law and Paralegal Studies programs beginning in the Fall 2026 semester. The successful applicant will have either a JD, a Ph.D. or be an ABD candidate near completion.

The successful applicant will direct our Paralegal Studies program and the Pre-Law minor. Ability to teach Introduction to Law and other law-focused classes is necessary. Candidates with the credentials to teach either History or Political Science classes preferred. The director will also oversee internships for students, carry a full-time teaching load, advise students, facilitate curriculum development at the undergraduate and graduate level, and serve on department and university committees.
