The Department of Christian Studies at Mississippi College offers studies in these areas:

Courses in religion have always been part of the Mississippi College curriculum as evidenced by the publication of the first catalog in 1852-53 which contains courses such as: Bullions' Greek Grammar, Biblical Antiquities, Natural Philosophy, and Evidence of Christianity. In 1902-03, a School of Greek and a Department of Philosophy were listed in the school catalog. Henry Franklin Sproles was listed as the first head of the Department of the Bible in 1904-05.
