Spring And Summer 2024

The Exotic Island of Guam

March 2 - March 16, 2024

This is a joint effort among Business, Communication, and Modern Languages. Students can earn up to 6 hours credit, while studying island economy & sustainability, the renaissance of the CHamoru language and culture, and crisis communications and PR following a natural disaster. Additional activities include surfing, snorkeling, beach combing, and parasailing. Students will register for classes with their Spring schedule.  There will be weekly class meetings (Spring semester 2024) ahead of the travel dates 3/2 - 3/16, with coordination with the student's other courses for the week before spring break. May 29 - June 17, 2024

This is a joint effort among Business and History/Political Science in of Guam Liberation Day.  Students can earn up to 6 hours credit while studying island economy, tourism, & sustainability, and the history of Guam's importance in World War II.   During this trip, students will commemorate of the 80th Anniversary of Guam's Liberation from Japan during WWII.  Additional activities include surfing, snorkeling, beach combing, and parasailing. Students will register for classes with their summer schedule.  There will be monthly class meetings (Spring semester 2024) ahead of the travel dates .  Contact any of the following for more information:  Business:  Billy Morehead or Sara Kimmel; History and Political Science:  Glenn Antizzo.  A grant from the US Department of Education covers a significant portion of the students' expenses.
