Sanitization of residence halls will be performed according to CDC guidelines and university standards. High-touch surfaces in common areas such as doorknobs, handrails, and elevator buttons in common areas will be cleaned twice daily, seven days per week. Shared spaces, such as shared or community bathrooms, will be cleaned with an electrostatic sprayer or comparable method at least twice daily.
Residential students should have hand sanitizer, cloth face coverings, a thermometer, and disinfectant wipes. Students should clean their personal spaces and items daily, with particular attention to high-touch items, such as light switches, cell phones, doorknobs, furniture handles, and bathroom sinks, toilets, and bathing areas.
If a person in a residence hall is determined to have COVID-19, the university will revise sanitization processes to include electrostatic spraying, cleaning high-touch surfaces, and closing common bathrooms for a deep clean daily.
