Mississippi Christian University defines a First Generation College Student as any individual whose parents did not complete a 4-year college or university degree.
What Supports Are Available to First Generation College Students at Mississippi Christian University?
Mississippi Christian University provides support through the Office of Student Success for First Generation College Students. Some of these services include seminars, activities, and celebrations. In addition, faculty and staff members who are First Generation College Students have volunteered to serve as mentors. Students can easily identify these individuals by the First Generation symbol proudly displayed on their desks.
