The Department of Counseling prepares students to model and apply psychological principles from a Christian perspective within a variety of careers fields. We offer five graduate programs to choose from. We offer a 60 semester hour Master of Education (M.Ed.) in School Counseling program that is accredited by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) and the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP). We offer 60 semester hour Master of Science (M.S.) programs in Marriage and Family Counseling and Mental Health Counseling. The department has advanced graduate studies leading to the Education Specialist (Ed.S) degree and the Doctor of Professional Counseling (DPC).
