Hazing is a serious concern that perpetuates harmful power dynamics and poses significant emotional and physical risks. At Mississippi College, such behavior is incompatible with our commitment to a safe, respectful, and Christ-centered learning environment. All members of our community share the responsibility to uphold these standards and to reject hazing in every form.
Resources regarding the University’s hazing policy, reporting procedures, and prevention initiatives are provided below. For further information, please contact our office.
Stop Campus Hazing Act
Mississippi College (MC) is committed to fostering a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for every student. Hazing, whether conducted by student clubs, organizations, teams, or informal groups, contradicts our core values and federal law. In accordance with the federal “Stop Campus Hazing Act” (H.R. 5646), the Anti-Hazing Policy applies to all MC students and MC-affiliated entities (athletic teams, academic clubs, social organizations, residence halls, informal groups, etc.) that organize or support student activities.
