Share Your Story, Again!
Did your international experience become part of every conversation with your roommate, suitemate, professor, lab partners, parents, aunts, uncles, and strangers in the grocery store? Did you share photographs and details of where you lived, what you ate, and where you walked to everyone you met? We know you did because it happens every time.
MC's McMillan Center for Study Abroad wants you to tell those stories again! We want to celebrate the thousands of alumni and friends who have traveled the world through the decades. If you lived in London with Dr. McMillan, Dr. Park, or Dr. Price, served as BSU missionary with Mandy Phillips, Don Gann or Weaver McKracken, learned Spanish with Beth Stapleton and Amy Williamson, toured France with Madame Agnes, worshiped in Isreal or ate incredible pasta in Italy with Ivan Parke, rode an elephant in Thailand with Dr. Norcross, or just enjoyed coffee in Seoul, we want to know about it.
Retrieve the shoeboxes full of journals, ticket stubs, notes, and photos, or spend time in your cyber storage and relive your adventure. Use the links below to send us digital copies of the treasures you find.
Your stories will inspire a new generation of MC students to discover the world.
MC hopes students travel internationally and return with a deeper understanding of those who call Mississippi home.
Sharing your international experience will serve to encourage a new generation to explore, be vulnerable, and become vividly aware of who they were created to be.
We would love to use the stories and pictures you submit to promote study abroad in our publications as part of our bicentennial celebrations.
