A Day of Giving Powered by Participation
Through their generous leadership, Kent and Becky Adams sparked a participation-based challenge that demonstrated the power of giving together.
The Rise to 200 Day of Giving showcased the extraordinary impact of community at MC. Through faithful generosity, enthusiastic participation, and student-led momentum, the MC family came together to celebrate our bicentennial year in a meaningful and lasting way raising over $225,000 through this successful online event.
A defining moment of the day was the participation-based challenge generously led by Kent and Becky Adams. Their matching gift was unlocked as donors rallied together—every 50 gifts releasing an additional $25,000. This challenge demonstrated the power of collective giving and affirmed that every gift, regardless of size, played a vital role. Tony and Carla Stringer also offered an added incentive for the day’s giving by adding $50 to every gift made by a graduate from the last ten years.

Student engagement was on full display as MC tribes, clubs, and campus organizations stepped up to champion the day. Congratulations to Nenamoosha, who claimed first place by rallying the highest number of individual donors! Their strong participation made a meaningful impact and earned them the top prize. Shawreth followed closely behind, securing second place with an impressive showing of support.
Participation and outreach from all other groups also fueled momentum and reflected the strong sense of belonging and leadership that defines the MC experience.
Additional opportunities, including the MC Alumni Match and the Bicentennial Match, multiplied the impact of each gift—directly benefiting students, campus programs, and student organizations across the University.
As we reflect on the success of Rise to 200, we are grateful for each person who chose to invest in MC. Together, we honored two centuries of faithfulness while confidently stepping into the future God has prepared. Together, we Rise to 200.
