Your military service has earned you several education benefits. Many veterans are able to use all (or a combination) of their employer-provided tuition assistance, the GI Bill, and military service Tuition Assistance.
The Department of Veterans Affairs administers multiple education benefit programs. Each program has its own unique qualifications, authorized payment amounts, and application processes.
Many Veterans and active duty personnel may qualify for more than one education benefits program.

Military Tuition Assistance (TA)
Current members of the U.S. Armed Forces could be eligible for Federal Tuition Assistance (TA).
Each service has approved to pay up to 100% (Up to $250 per semester hour or $4,500 per year) for the tuition expenses of its members.
Each service has its own criteria for eligibility, obligated service, application process' and restrictions. Funding is usually paid directly to the institution by the individual services.

*Please note that we must have a signed FERPA from each student planning to use TA. Mississippi College is unable to submit updates for your TA without a signed FERPA on file. When completing the form, please list your particular branch of service under “Individuals given permission to receive information.” Check “academic records including grades and attendance” as well as “business office/financial records” under “Areas of information identified for release.” FERPA, the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974, is a federal law that pertains to the release of and access to educational records.
