The General Biology degree track is recommended for students wishing to pursue careers such as Physical Therapy, Pharmacy, Physician Assistant, Medical Technology and Field Biology. This is our most flexible degree track, which allows the student to form their curriculum to whatever suits their career goals best. The General Biology degree track has two options to choose from.
For students with other interests and career goals in the biological sciences, this this option requires an a minimum of twenty-four semester hours of 200-400 level biology electives (except BIO 251 - Microbiology). At least twenty hours must be 300-400 level courses.
This course track option is for students with other interests and career goals in the biological sciences. It requires sixteen hours of 300-400 level biology courses beyond the Biology Core requirement. Additionally, a minor in another subject area is required.
