About the Office
The Office of the Registrar serves as the official custodian of academic records at Mississippi College. We oversee the integrity, accuracy, and security of student academic records and support the academic mission of the University through consistent application of institutional policies and procedures.
Our work ensures that registration, grading, transfer credit, and degree certification are processed accurately and in alignment with the Academic Catalog and approved academic policies.
What We Do
Academic Records & Registration
We maintain official student academic records and support registration processes, including schedule maintenance, enrollment updates, and academic record changes.
Transcripts & Enrollment Verification
We issue official and unofficial transcripts, process enrollment and degree verifications, and respond to authorized third-party requests in accordance with FERPA guidelines.
Transfer Credit Evaluation
We review and evaluate transfer coursework to ensure appropriate articulation toward degree requirements, applying institutional transfer policies consistently across programs.
Degree Audit & Graduation Certification
We support degree audit processes, review graduation applications, and certify students who have met academic requirements for degree conferral.
Graduate Academic Processing
The Registrar’s Office supports graduate academic processes including transfer credit review, thesis and dissertation milestone tracking, and enforcement of graduate academic policies.
Academic Systems & Policy Implementation
We work in partnership with Information Technology to support key academic systems such as Banner and DegreeWorks and implement approved academic policies related to registration, grading, and records management.
