Meet with Your Advisor
Students should consult their academic advisor before registering for classes. Advisors provide a new alternate PIN for each term when required.
Note: Accelerated Online students and non-degree-seeking students do not require an alternate PIN.
Resolve Holds
Current students must follow proper payment procedures and have a clear account in the Business Office before registering.

Students must accept the financial agreement and review their contact information before registration. This may be completed before or on the day registration opens. Learn more by reviewing the financial agreement document.

Winter Session 2026–2027
Winter Session (December 14, 2026 – January 8, 2027) operates as an official standalone term with a dedicated term code in Banner. Students can register for Winter Session online once Spring 2027 registration opens.
Tuition & Credit Hours
- Tuition Rates: $450 per undergraduate credit hour | $600 per graduate credit hour (billed separately).
- Credit Limit: Features an independent maximum limit of up to 6 credit hours, keeping Spring credit allowances completely separate.
- Spring Status Exclusions: Winter credit hours do not count toward financial aid eligibility, institutional or state scholarships, full-time status, or campus housing credit hour minimums for the Spring semester.
Financial Aid & Payment Policy
Financial aid cannot be applied directly to Winter Session courses. However, if a student's pending Spring 2027 financial aid is sufficient to fully cover both their Spring and Winter balances, their Winter classes will not be dropped for non-payment, and their Spring refund will automatically apply toward the Winter balance. If Spring aid is not enough to cover both balances, the student must pay the remaining Winter balance out of pocket by the payment deadline.
Term Limits
-
Winter Session operates as a standalone term with a 6-credit hour maximum limit for all students; no student level may appeal for a credit load increase.
-
In the spring term, undergraduate students may take up to 18 hours before submitting a credit hour overload form.
-
Graduate students can only take 15 hours in the spring term and cannot appeal for a credit load increase.

Refund/Repayment Policy and Financial Aid
If a refund is due to a student under the school’s refund policy and the student received any Title IV funds (other than Federal Work Study), a federally prescribed formula is used to determine the amount that must be returned to each program involved. The full refund policy can be found in the Mississippi Christian University catalog.
FERPA
Under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), students enrolled in post-secondary education have the right to access and review their educational records as defined by law. Except for information classified as directory information, the University will not release records without student consent.
- Students may submit an official request to withhold information from the Student Directory.
- Students are encouraged to complete a consent form to authorize the release of personal and/or academic information to designated individuals.
- Review the complete policy details on the Student Privacy information page.
FAQ
When can I register?
Current student registration begins Monday, April 13, 2026, and opens in phases based on classification. Once your time opens, you may register at any time.
Why can't I register?
Common reasons include registration holds, an uncleared account balance, or a missing alternate PIN. Review your registration holds in Banner and contact the appropriate office if needed.
Do I need to meet with my advisor?
Yes. Students should consult their academic advisor before registering. Advisors also provide alternate PINs for students who need them.
Where can I find the most updated deadlines?
Review the Official Academic Calendars regularly for the most up-to-date deadlines. Dates and deadlines can change, and the calendar is the best source for current information.
Registration Restrictions
Some courses have registration restrictions built into BannerWeb. If you try to register for a course that meets one of these conditions, you will see a message explaining why your registration can't be completed. Select the common message below to learn what it means and what to do. Your academic department can help you determine your next step.
our current academic status prevents registration. You must complete or appeal your academic suspension, or if your status is inactive, you must reapply or complete your admissions process before registering. Contact registrar@mc.edu for assistance.
The class is full and no more seats are available. Contact the department to ask if the capacity can be increased. Otherwise, register for a different section or course.
This course requires another specific course to be taken at the same time. Please add both courses to your schedule together
You are attempting to register for a course that is considered functionally equivalent to one you are already enrolled in (Section XXX). You cannot receive credit for both classes. Drop the other equivalent course or select a different class entirely.
our student record is currently marked as inactive in the system. To register for classes, you must reapply, complete any missing steps in your admissions process, or contact the Admissions office to reactivate your student status.
Adding this course exceeds your maximum allowed credit hours for the semester. Contact registrar@mc.edu for assistance.
Certain undergraduate core science courses cannot be taken together. You may have completed one course in a restricted pair and are attempting to register for the other. Talk with your advisor to see if an exception is needed for your program. The department can assist you in requesting an override from the registrar’s office.
You need to complete a required course before taking this one. Check prerequisites using these instructions. If you haven’t taken the required course(s), register for those first. Overrides are rare.
You have a hold on your account. Check your Student Profile in "Bannerweb for students" via My.mc to view and resolve your hold.
Class times overlap on your schedule. If there’s a minimal time overlap (e.g., one ends and another starts at the same time), contact your department for approval. Otherwise, choose another class.
Your registration window is not currently open. Please contact the Registrar's Office at registrar@mc.edu for assistance.
You may see this error if the course is reserved for specific student groups, limited to specific majors/programs, specific undergraduate minors, or only open to students at a different class level (e.g., Freshman, Senior).
If you believe you are eligible or need assistance, contact registrar@mc.edu.
You're trying to repeat a course that usually can’t be retaken. You must either take an alternative course or request to repeat the course by completing a Request to Repeat a Course form. If you're in Education, Nursing, or Social Work and earned a grade below the required one, contact your advisor for assistance.
