Graduate Thesis, Dissertation, and Project Submission Checklist

Use this checklist to make sure all final steps are completed before your document is submitted and approved.

Before submitting your final document to ProQuest, please confirm that all academic, formatting, and submission requirements have been completed.

Important: Your submission is not considered complete until your signed approval page has been submitted to the Graduate Office.

Final Deadline

All thesis, dissertation, and project requirements must be fully completed by 5:00 PM on the Monday of graduation week.

1. Academic Requirements

☐ Successfully defended your thesis, dissertation, or project

☐ Completed all required revisions

☐ Received final approval from your committee

2. Document Preparation

☐ Final manuscript saved as a PDF

☐ Title is final and matches the approved title

☐ Committee members are listed correctly in the document

☐ Abstract is included

3. Basic Formatting Check

☐ 1-inch margins throughout

☐ No running headers

☐ Page numbers formatted correctly

☐ File opens correctly and is complete

4. ProQuest Submission

☐ Created your ProQuest account

☐ Entered all required information (title, abstract, committee, keywords)

☐ Uploaded your final PDF

☐ Selected your publishing option

☐ Submitted your document

5. Required Final Step

☐ Submitted your signed approval page to the Registrar's Office

Your submission will not be approved until this document is received.

What Happens After You Submit

Your document will be reviewed for completeness and formatting.

You may be asked to make minor corrections.

Once approved, your submission will be released for publishing and archiving.
