The Modern Language Department offers the following minors:

Chinese 

In 2020, MC and Chung Yuan Christian University in Taiwan were awarded two significant grants as part of the Huaya BEST (Bilingual Exchanges of Selected Talent) Program. This program provides generous scholarships to students who wish to minor in Chinese both here in the U.S and also for study abroad at CYCU in Taiwan. A minor in Chinese requires 18 semester hours of university credit in Chinese, with 6 of those 18 at the 300 level or higher. At least 6 of the 18 hours must be taken abroad.

French

A minor in French requires 18 semester hours of university credit in French, with 6 of those 18 at the 300 level or higher.

German

A minor in German requires 18 semester hours of university credit in German, with 6 of those 18 at the 300 level or higher. At least 6 of the 18 hours must be taken abroad.

Japanese

A minor in Japanese requires 18 semester hours of university credit in Japanese, with 6 of those 18 at the 300 level or higher. At least 6 of the 18 hours must be taken abroad.

Spanish

A minor in Spanish requires 18 semester hours of university credit in Spanish, with 6 of those 18 at the 300 level or higher.
