Use this guide to prepare for registration, review important deadlines, and understand key policies related to advising, holds, course changes, refunds, and student records.

Top Tasks

Before You Register

Registration for current students begins Monday, April 13, 2026 on a staggered schedule based on student classification. Once your registration time opens, you may register at any time, though periodic system maintenance may temporarily interrupt access.

Meet with Your Advisor

Students should consult their academic advisor before registering for classes. Advisors provide a new alternate PIN for each term when required.

Note: Accelerated Online students and non-degree-seeking students do not require an alternate PIN.

Resolve Holds

Current students must follow proper payment procedures and have a clear account in the Business Office before registering.

Accept the Financial Agreement

Students must accept the financial agreement and review their contact information before registration. This may be completed before or on the day registration opens.

Your classification at the end of the Fall 2025 semester determines your registration date. You can view your classification in your Student Profile in Banner.

New and Re-admitted Students
Registration for new undergraduate students begins one week after registration opens for current students in Summer and Spring. Fall registration begins at assigned orientation. Registration for new graduate students begins the day registration opens for current students.

Important Registration Information

Summer Term Limits

  • Students may take up to 17 credit hours during the Summer Term, including May Term.
  • Students are limited to 3 credit hours during May Term alone.

Fall 2026 Chapel

All new incoming students must register for Chapel for the Fall 2026 semester.

Both sections meet on Thursdays and enrollment is limited based on Swor Auditorium capacity.

Writing Proficiency Exam (WPE)

Mississippi College’s Writing Proficiency Exam is required for all undergraduate students. Students needing to take the exam should register for a section of ENG 099 early, as space is limited.

Exam locations vary. Students should register as early as possible to secure a spot.

Tuition, Fees, and Housing

Tuition and Fees

Students should review the current tuition and fees schedule before registration. Tuition and fees are due in full by the semester deadline unless the monthly payment plan is used.

  • Past due balances may result in a hold.
  • Students with holds may be unable to register or view grades online.
  • Past due accounts may be subject to a late payment penalty.

Residence Halls

Residence Hall reservations are based on students’ pre-registration for classes. For more information, contact Residence Life.

Withdrawal and Refund Information

Withdrawal from the University

Students who choose not to attend or who wish to withdraw from the semester must initiate the withdrawal through their MyMC account.

Failure to follow the official withdrawal procedure may result in a grade of F for all enrolled courses. Tuition refunds will be determined based on the official withdrawal date.

Students may make schedule changes online without a fee until the deadline published in the Academic Calendar. After that date, schedule changes must be completed by the Office of the Registrar and may incur a $30.00 late schedule change fee.

Refund / Repayment Policy and Financial Aid

If a refund is owed under the school’s refund policy and the student received Title IV funds, excluding Federal Work Study, a federally mandated formula will determine the amount that must be returned to each applicable program. Student Privacy and Records

FERPA

Under FERPA, students enrolled in post-secondary education have the right to access and review their educational records as defined by law. Except for information classified as directory information, the University will not release records without student consent.
