Jonathan Nutt

Assistant Dean of Students

Jonathan is a native of Clinton and graduated from MC in 2010 with a BSBA in Marketing. Upon graduation, he worked as a Residence Director at MC for one year. After leaving higher education for a short time, Jonathan returned to Mississippi College in 2012 and obtained a Master of Science Degree in Higher Education Administration from Mississippi College in 2014. He has held various roles within Student Experience, currently serving as Assistant Dean of Students. He oversees the overall direction of the Office of Student Engagement, charged with implementing a variety of programming each year to engage the campus community.  Jonathan and his wife, Anna, still reside in Clinton where they are raising two daughters, Ellie and Evie. Their entire family enjoys all things Disney! Jonathan is currently pursuing an EdD in Higher Education Administration at the University of Southern Mississippi with plans to finish in 2024.

Jonathan's favorite MC event is Homecoming Week because it's an opportunity for the entire MC Family (students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends) to come together and celebrate Mississippi College.

Chip Wilson

Associate Director of Student Engagement

Chip is a native of Memphis, Tennessee and graduated from MC in 2016 with a BA in Spanish and a Master of Science Degree in Higher Education Administration from Mississippi College in 2017. He later obtained a graduate certificate in Leadership from Belhaven University. Chip began working in the Office of Student Engagement in 2017 and currently oversees MC's club and tribe system and Intramural Athletics.  Chip and his wife, Miranda, reside in Jackson where they are parents to their dog, Nana. Chip is also a part-time florist creating beautiful flower arrangements for MC events, weddings and other occasions.

Chips's favorite MC experience is working with the orientation behind the scenes team to set up and tear down every aspect of the summer orientation experience.

Kelsey Sanchez

Assistant Director of First Year Experience

Kelsey is a native of Walker, Louisiana and graduated from MC in 2019 with a BA in English with a minor in Servant Leadership. After graduation, she moved to Waco, Texas where she earned a Master of Science Degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs from Baylor University and a healthy addiction to Diet Coke. After completing her degree, Kelsey returned to Mississippi College to oversee the new First Year Experience programming in the Office Of Student Engagement. Kelsey resides in Clinton, MS with her dog, Ramona where she enjoys spending time by the pool and discussing all things pop culture. 

Kelsey’s favorite MC experience is Freshman Orientation because it is all about welcoming new students to the MC family and showcasing why Mississippi College is such a special place!
